Job Description:

Nadji Architects is  looking for a structural engineer, who can work within the budget and timeline provided by the client. Main responsibilities and duties consist of conceptual and detailed design for various buildings, checking the shop drawings, providing support for architects and drafting team working as a valid team-member, site inspections and providing day-to-day engineering solutions to various project and site conditions. 

Main Job Duties and skill requirements of job:

  • Professional Structural Engineer

  • 5 years' experience

  • Familiarity with the challenge of construction in the north

  • Experience dealing with northern weather and soil conditions

  • Analyze building codes, by-laws, space requirements, site requirements and other technical documents and

  • Familiarity with Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Institutional, Public buildings design

  • Computer applications: Computer aided drafting - AutoCAD

  • Ability to Supervise: Working groups, Contractors, Staff in various areas of responsibility

  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Attention to details

  • Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel

  • Languages: Speak, Read and Write English

Job Title: Architectural Technologist
Job Status: Permanent, Full Time
Salary and Benefits: $23.25 per hour 

Job Description:

Main Job Duties and skill requirements of job:

  • Be familiar with the challenge of construction in the 

  • Experience dealing with northern weather and soil conditions on design and building 

  • Be familiar with aboriginal culture and dealing with aboriginal 

  • Provide technical assistance to professional architect in conducting research, preparing drawings, architectural models, specifications and contracts and in supervising construction 

  • Analyze building codes, by-laws, space requirements, site requirements and other technical documents and 

  • Be familiar with timeline for 

  • Be familiar with Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Institutional, Public buildings design, New Construction, Interior Design, 

  • Computer applications: Computer aided drafting, Archi CAD, Architectural software program, Architectural 

  • Ability to train aboriginal youth basic Auto CAD 

  • Own Tool/Equipment: Cellular 

  • Ability to Supervise: Working groups, Contractors, Staff in various areas of responsibility

  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Attention to details

  • Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel

  • Education: university degree

  • Experience: minimum three years

  • Languages: Speak, Read and Write English
